The Star Wars saga will continue in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, a videogame developed by LucasArts, which casts players as Darth Vader's "Secret Apprentice" and promises to unveil new revelations about the Star Wars galaxy. The expansive story, created under direction from George Lucas, is set during the largely unexplored era between Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. In it, players will assist the iconic villain in his quest to rid the universe of Jedi - and face decisions that could change the course of their destiny.

Path of the Furon picks up right where the last game in the series, Big Willy Unleashed, left off. Crypto is running a Vegas casino as he has grown weary of the constant struggle of harvesting DNA from witless humans. The lovely little human brain stem farm masked as a Sin City casino is soon brought down by a mysterious race of cyborgs known as Nexos and the story takes off from there.

An online-oriented entry in the Metal Gear franchise, following up on the success of the online portion of MGS3 Subsistence on PS2 and MGS Portable Ops on PSP. Metal Gear Online allows up to 16 players to sneak and attack in online combat scenarios. The game uses a new team system called SOKKU, which allows you quickly and easily access info on your allies. Metal Gear Solid Online for PlayStation 3 initially is being released as part of the Metal Gear Online Starter Pack, a package included with Metal Gear Solid 4. It is unknown whether the title will also be made available independently.

The May issue of EGM will have a cover story, likely going into great depth about the upcoming PSN title, SOCOM Confrontation. However, 1UP has a small sneak peek: it's given readers a list of all the special forces squads that players can join. 1UP explains: "Joining a special force is now a perk associated with joining a clan ... special forces (and their associated uniforms, gear, and weapons) will only be available to clan members." As expected, the SEALs and SAS are available in the game.
